We are located along the northernmost tip of Maine in the United States which straddles the St. John River, bordering the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Québec. We are just off US Route 1 nestled between the townships of Madawaska and Van Buren.

Traveling from the South
– Take Exit 302 off I-95 North towards Houlton and turn left on US Route 1.
– Continue north to Mars Hill where you will turn left on Benjamin Street [US Route 1].
– Continue on US Route 1 directly through the cities of Presque Isle and Caribou.
– Turn left on US Route 1 upon arrival to Van Buren.
– Continue until you reach the village of Lille.
– The Musée will be on the left!
Parking
Visitors may park in the museum parking lot located just off the right side of the main sanctuary building and in front of the Mont-Carmel Cemetery. The parking lot is more than sufficient to accommodate buses and other similar vehicles transporting large groups (i.e., school field trips).
Hours
Our summer season runs June 15 through August 15, open daily from 12pm to 4pm. On occasion, our season even stretches through Labor Day. These dates and times denote the period during which we are most accessible to visitors.
We are also open by appointment year-round. To schedule a visit, please contact the Musée directly.
